Essa Township, Ontario

Angus is a small town on the Nottawasaga River, about 18 Km west of Barrie and right outside the gates of C.F.B. Borden. The population of Angus is approximately 6000. Angus has two other rivers and one creek that flow through town. They are the Pine River, the Mad River (Mrs. Matthew Dowling, Nottawasaga pioneer, credited with naming the Mad River in 1835 after nearly drowning in "that mad river") and Bear Creek.
